Kristy Zajac is an energetic, attentive young designer eager to demonstrate her abilities in the field of interior design. While working in the field for over four years, she has strengthened her existing skills and has developed new ideas to progress as a professional designer. Kristy's love of interior design was initially influenced by the likes of Lynette Jennings, Frank Lloyd Wright and Bob Villa. She became intrigued by how a room or house could be spacially defined by the use of color, balance, form, line and textures. Her imagination evolved into a young woman ready to make a career helping others define their space. Her computer skills and design knowledge have recently opened up even more possibilites such as web/graphic design that she is exploring in her spare time.

After graduating from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Science degree in interior design, Kristy gained initial experience interning for a small residential/commercial firm. She later explored the niche of Kitchen and Bath design . Challenged by her location she decided to move to Nantucket Massachusetts in the fall of 2005, where she has since been generating kitchen and bath plans for a small retail/design company. Although computer drafting takes up the majority of her time, she has begun to take on smaller projects on her own. She has extensive resources to create spaces that incorporate function along with aesthetics for clients. She believes that any project is a process that needs to be understood by all who are involved especailly the end user. This is where her ability to help the client visualize a space is most important. Currently she is persuing her Masters Degree with an emphasis in healthcare design.
